As noted in our previous post, 3studio were delighted to sponsor the Get Equipped event in Sheffield on Saturday 19th October.
The event was great, plenty to see and do and the talks/discussions were really informative.
The day kicked off with a bunch of stalls and displays from ProVision, MovieWorks, SYFN, 3studio (of course) and a few others.
A small number of stalls were selling a really impressive selection of kit as well.
The talks/sessions kicked off with Colin Perkins: Off-Camera Flash Techniques (stills photography), followed by Susan Pennington: Feature Film Sound Workflow.
After a short break Film Hub North and then Screen Yorkshire/Richard Knight brought us up to speed on how to get funding for a production and how to better go about location scouting using online tools.
Our own Paul Massey gave a quick overview of what we do and why we're here and then Brett Chapman from Sheffield Creative Guild gave us an insight into how he created his first documentary and then moved on to create a follow up.
Rob Speranza as part of a small panel setup by SYFN and ProVision, then gave us a run through on the use of the Sony Venice camera that was used whilst shooting Judy and then Jonathan Young wrapped up the day.
Ed at Sort Of... Films did an incredible job ion setting this up and making it a huge success, we couldn't have been more happy to sponsor such an event and are looking forward to the next one.
