Filming the Music Video for "Luminate"
We’re excited to share that Skarlett Riot recently returned to 3studio to film the music video for their latest single, “Luminate.” Taken from their upcoming album, Caelestia, which is set to be released on October 25th, 2024, this track is poised to be a standout in their discography. It was a privilege to provide the space for such a creative endeavour, even if it was just for a single day—a Sunday, no less!
The Inspiration Behind "Luminate"
"Luminate" is a deeply meaningful song, touching on themes of resilience and finding hope in the darkest moments. The band describes it as “a song written about finding light in the darkest places. It’s about those moments of clarity when you realise you don’t have to struggle through adversity alone. It’s about understanding your true worth and finding strength when you need it most.” These themes are echoed in the song’s powerful lyrics, which speak to the journey from darkness to light.

The Shoot
The band brought in their own creative team, led by their Director of Photography, Sean, to transform 3studio into the perfect backdrop for "Luminate." Sean’s vision and expertise were evident as he dressed and lit the set to create the exact atmosphere the band was looking for. The result was a stunning visual representation of the song’s themes of overcoming darkness and finding light.
While we didn’t handle the set design or lighting, it was still a pleasure to see our space being used so effectively. The energy on set was electric, with Skarlett Riot fully immersing themselves in the performance. Skarlett’s vocals were as powerful as ever, capturing the raw emotion of the song, while Danny, Martin, and Luke delivered tight, energetic performances that elevated the entire shoot.
Wrapping Up
As the shoot wrapped up, the band and their crew were clearly pleased with the day’s work. It was a successful session, with the footage perfectly capturing the essence of "Luminate." We’re thrilled that 3studio could play a role, however small, in bringing this project to life.
